Digital copies of documents are accessible only on the National Library premises.
Full access to digital documents in the NL CR
In accordance with the Law No. 121/2000 Coll. (the Copyright Law), some digitised documents can be displayed on the library premises only. Full access to these documents is allowed from designated computers in the NL reading rooms. Access to internet is denied on these computers, it is not allowed to download the digitised documents into USB or other memory media. Documents can be printed out in the NL.
Computers with full access to the Digital Library are to be found in the Main Hall and in the NL reading rooms.
Computers in the Refrence Centre, designated for use of the Digital Library, can be booked in advance through your reader´s account in the NKC base. After login to the reader´s account, select the link Rezervace počítače v RC /Book computer in RC and choose Kramerius.
- Computers 01 and 02, equipped with large screens, are designated for study of digitised documents, mainly newspapers, or other large formats.
- Computers 03 and 04, labeled e-deposit, are designated to study e-books and digitised documents of common format.
Order copies from/of digital documents
A paper copy of the digital document from the NL collections can be ordered through the order form. Users, who have concluded the agreement on eDDO Service can also order a copy through the eDDO Service. For more information about the eDDO Service kindly see at the NL website.
Access to digital documents in accordance with the Copyright
The Copyright Law allows access to works displayed at the Internet 70 years after the death of all authors and other authors of the work (translators, illustrators, etc.) and 50 years from the document was published. If you think that the document requested should be available and it is not, kindly contact us at kramerius5@nkp.cz. We will examine the rights associated with the document and, if possible, we will make it available.
